FAVOURITE I'm The Boss ran away with the Mildura Pacing Cup in a dominant display that justified his admirers after running a track record in the heats on Tuesday.

He began well from the gates, as expected, and driver Kima Frenning steadied the pace early waiting for attacks from other runners.

Hickstead was the first to come from a three-wide position to sit outside the leader while Shakahari settled well on the leaders back with a good trail.

After 600 metres, Rockstar Angel was the next to attack and got to the death outside the leader with ease allowing Hickstead to get cover in the one out, one back position.
