A MILDURA resident fears she and her partner will be forced to live in a tent after being knocked back from 30 rental properties.

It comes as Sunraysia faces a rental shortage combined with low vacancy rates across regional Victoria – resulting in more prospective tenants than properties available.

Serena and her partner have been

applying for properties since the house they were privately renting was sold by the owner in late January.

They now consider themselves homeless after moving into a friend’s granny flat in March, which they must vacate by May 6.
