A LOCAL business will soon install solar panels that produce enough electricity to power 22 homes as part of Mildura Council’s Environmental Upgrade Agreement (EUA).

Mildura’s Ritchie’s IGA was this week the first to sign on to the council initiative after it was launched in January.

“For us it’s great because it helps with the higher price of power, power has gone up almost 15 per cent for us,” Mildura Ritchies IGA store acquisitions and project manager Paul Papson said.
