BLUE-green algae growth in the Murray River has dropped from previous years’ levels despite a run of hot weather, according to Lower Murray Water.
Lower Murray Water will continue weekly tests until the beginning of May, but senior manager of customers and stakeholders Owen Russell said recent samples provided positive news for river users.
“We have sampled from Robinvale and Swan Hill to Merbein and there are no alerts at this time,” Mr Russell said.
