MILDURA’S urban water prices are set to fall slightly but an increase in electricity costs will push up Lower Murray Water’s (LMW) charges for rural customers.
The Essential Services Commission (ESC) this week released its draft decision on the water authority’s proposed charges and tariffs for the next five years.
LMW managing director Philip Endley said it had proposed an average real annual price decrease for urban water and sewerage customers of 0.2 per cent.
However, LMW’s rural water customers face price changes ranging up to 2.5 per cent, depending on the district and the type of service.
