Coach trip: Sam Bice aims to start with juniors role

BAMBILL women’s footballer Sam Bice admits that until recently she had always seen herself as a player rather than a coach.

But after an accomplished start to her coaching journey at national level, Bice now wants to be more involved in coaching locally – starting with the new Sunraysia Women’s Football League junior competition later this year.

Bice spent last week in Melbourne as an assistant coach for Woomeras, the AFL national female indigenous development program.
