A TEENAGER’S arm has been severed in a water skiing accident at Trentham Cliffs.
The 15-year-old girl was learning to ski behind a boat on the Murray River about 5pm on Saturday when the tow rope became tightly entangled around her arm before she fell into the water.
Dareton police Sergeant Andrew Mensforth said the teenager and her family were holidaying in the region for the long weekend.
The girl’s family was watching from the boat at the time of the incident while a 43-year-old family friend drove the vessel.
