THEY’RE the best of enemies.
British aces Gabriella Taylor and Katy Dunne won their first women’s doubles title together at the Mildura Grand Tennis International late yesterday, but will be on opposite sides of the centre court net today.
Singles top seed Taylor and No.3 Dunne clash in a women’s singles semi-final after each winning through the quarter-finals, hours before their doubles triumph over third seeds Alexandra Bozovic and Olivia Tjandramulia.
Today isn’t the first time they have been singles opponents, but they have never met in the finals.
“We’ve played each other before, but we’re friends off the court and we’ve always been close, so whatever happens on the court we know we’ll be fine,” Dunne said.
