The best wishes are coming true

THE Mildura branch of Make-A-Wish has its own wish – to raise $50,000 at its second annual gala dinner in May so it can bring even more smiles to the faces of sick children.

Following the success of the “one-off” Winter Wonderland Gala Dinner in 2017, which raised ­triple the amount expected by ­organisers, the Mildura branch was encouraged to make it an annual event.

“We raised $31,000 and even our head office fundraising manager was absolutely blown away,” Mildura branch of Make-A-Wish president ­Samantha Freckleton said.
