International women's day: Force for change

MILDURA police yesterday reflected on gender parity in the force for International Women’s Day 2018.

Ten policewomen from across the Mildura/Swan Hill police division have joined a local women in policing committee, an initiative that has been established across the state as part of a recommendation made by the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission. 

The aim of the local committee is “to influence for an inclusive workplace, where all women feel supported, valued, safe and encouraged to achieve their potential”.
