Future is building

THE future house in Mildura won’t be underground but will be inspired by structural insul­ated panels (SIP) coming from European countries, according to Energy Architecture architect Daniel Manno.

With the ongoing residential and commercial developments in Mildura, the future of its architecture is slowly emerging, bringing up new opportunities and challenges.

“There was mention of environmentally friendly houses that would go underground but I don’t think it is going to happen – it costs too much to go underground and there are too many problems associated with waterproofing, et cetera,” Mr Manno said.
