Man beaten in home attack

A WALKING stick and wooden pole were used as weapons in an early morning scuffle at a Dareton home this week.

Police say a man was woken about 5am on Tuesday by a vehicle entering the driveway of his residence and went outside to find a silver four-wheel drive parked nearby.

As he walked back up the driveway, he encountered three males described as being of Aboriginal appearance, wearing dark clothing and variously armed with a knife, a screwdriver and the walking stick.
