Mildura claims a home advantage

FIRST home buyers in Mildura face a much shorter wait to save a deposit than most of the state.

Couples in the Mildura local government area on an average income must save for 2.8 years to afford a deposit on a typical home, according to the 2017 Bankwest First Time Buyers Report.

Wentworth Shire couples fared even better, needing 2.2 years of saving to get their foot on the property ladder.
