SILVER City Swim Club members dominated the Irymple Open on Saturday, which went ahead despite the risk of cancellation due to inclement weather.
More than 90 swimmers, including entrants from Broken Hill and South Australia, competed in the event at the Irymple pool.
After wet and stormy conditions in the lead-up, the rain cleared in the afternoon and at the revised start time of 1pm, swimmers hit the pool.
Irymple Swimming Club president David O’Brien said the club had wanted to proceed to avoid disappointing the travelling competitors.
