ANDREW Arden was about 20 years old when he realised he had to make some big changes.
He had spent the best part of the previous five years drinking, to the point he couldn’t remember the best nights he had had.
A talented footballer and intelligent young man, his life was turned upside down on a February evening in 2006, when he and a group of friends were mowed down by a driver on a semi-rural road at Cardross.
Six youths, including two of Andrew’s best mates, were killed and others were left with injuries and a lifelong reminder of a tragedy that stunned the nation.
