A BURNT down motel in Robinvale, which has been an eyesore for the past six years, will soon be no longer after Swan Hill Council won a five-year battle to have it cleaned up. 

The Homestead Motel, built in the 1950s, was burnt down in 2011 – a year after new owners took it over and turned it into a backpacker hostel. 

Since then, the burnt remains of the motel and even charred belongings and furniture have remained untouched.
