Postal survey brings ‘new level of crazy’

THE president of LGBTIQ group Mildura Pride says the same-sex marriage debate postal survey has opened the doors for hurtful rhetoric from opponents – something he fears will continue after a resolution is reached. 

James Price said comments made by the Australian Christ­ian Lobby and the Coalition for Marriage have had a “profoundly negative” impact on the LGBTIQ community. 

Mr Price last week received a pamphlet in his letterbox by controversial Christian group the Adelaide Street Preachers, which compared LGBTIQ activism to Nazism.
