Water warning for parents

TRAGEDY can stem from a split second’s lapse in supervision when it comes to children and water.

Over the past 15 years, 461 children under the age of five have drowned in Australia with a lack or absence of adult supervision a factor in all of those cases.

With the weather heating up this weekend, Mildura Life Saving Club captain Dennis Mclaughlan said it was imperative that all children were supervised around water and all precautions taken to create a safe swimming environment.
