Disease rise is no surprise, says doctor

A MILDURA doctor wonders whether the proliferation of dating apps and changing sexual behaviours could contribute to rising gonorrhoea rates.

Lime Medical Clinic’s Dr John Dyson-Berry said while the rise was probably the combination of a lot of factors, he thought lifestyle changes may have contributed.

“If you, like me, read the news the rise of dating apps, perhaps the freer expression of sexual desires around the community may have contributed,” he said.
