SUPPORTING children through learning and play will be the focus of a range of activities to be hosted in Mildura from today.

As part of National Children’s Week, Sunraysia Community Health will run a suite of five activities designed to encourage parents to take charge when it comes to their child’s basic learning.

“Sunraysia Community Health really wanted to showcase what we have in Mildura, for spaces for education and learning through play,” parent support co-ordinator Felicity Cummins said.

“We’ve chosen five different areas throughout Mildura to deliver messages to parents to support them in education, because parents are the first teachers in a child’s life.”
