BURONGA resident and business manager Kayleen Morello says she, and a majority of Buronga residents, were pleased with Wentworth Shire Council’s decision to refuse On The Run (OTR) planning permission for a Sturt Highway outlet at a meeting on Wednesday night.

Mrs Morello wrote a letter to Sunraysia Daily in support of Sunraysia Petroleum director Steve Saunders’ proposed $6 million IGA supermarket and specialty shopping centre in Buronga.

The proposal includes a full-line supermarket, associated drive-through bottle shop, a chemist, cafe, two other specialty stores and a community garden sprawled across three acres of land next to Shell Buronga.
