THE Nangiloc community is being asked to help make a difference to the lives of others by joining the local Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
Dispatched at the same time as an ambulance to potentially time-critical emergencies, CERT volunteers work alongside paramedics and ambulance officers to deliver treatment to patients and also play an important part in supporting Ambulance Victoria’s response in rural and regional Victoria.
“CERT volunteers provide basic emergency care services until the ambulance arrives and provide timely responses to medical emergencies, with early intervention and support of patients,” acting group manager John Maher said.
