Trio to face Robinvale robbery charges

A MAN charged over his involvement in brazen robberies in the Robinvale area this year will plead guilty.

Stephen John White was this week committed to stand trial in the County Court on charges including aggravated home invasion, armed robbery and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.

White entered a guilty plea to two armed robberies at Tol Tol and Robinvale on February 5 and April 17.

During White’s committal mention in the Mildura Magistrates’ Court, it was indicated he would dispute some of the facts in the prosecution case, including an allegation he pulled the pants down of a female victim.

The court heard cash, a phone and car and house keys were stolen during the first home invasion while a .308 rifle, mobile phone, a Malaysian passport and identity documents and bags were among the items stolen during the second.

Two co-accused will also face the County Court next month over their alleged involvement in the robberies.
