Nangiloc Fishing Club director Braeden Lampard hopes to ignite a passion for fishing in the younger generation on this weekend’s Catcha Carp Day.

NANGILOC Fishing Club, along with OzFish Sunraysia, is encouraging all budding and experienced anglers to cast a line on the Murray River this Sunday.

To encourage Sunraysia locals to spend the morning fishing, the two organisations are hosting the Catcha Carp Day event.

Nangiloc Fishing Club director Braeden Lampard said the event coincided with National Gone Fishing Day, which is an an initiative to get more people fishing.
