Facelift ticks over

MILDURA Council is giving the historic Carnegie Centre clock tower a facelift to restore it to its former glory. 

The reparation works, expected to be completed in the coming weeks, involves replacing the four painted clockfaces – with the side facing Deakin Avenue already replaced. 

“The current background is painted, so it’s a matter of scraping the existing face off,” Mildura Council building and property co-ordinator Jason Kane said.
