MILDURA could scoop the unofficial title of the state’s ice cream capital, with local demand and sales of the classic treat soaring.
Two stores in Mildura’s city heart have reported bumper trade during the recent school holidays as a fourth ice cream retailer looks to move into the precinct next month.
With the weather heating up, Cold Rock Mildura co-owner Jan Smith said appetites for cool desserts were on the rise too.
Cold Rock experienced a 75 per cent increase in sales over the school holidays compared to previous holiday trade.
