CHEAT at your own peril. That is one of the key messages L2P co-ordinator for Sunassist Kristie Clarke has for learner drivers and their parents.

Ms Clarke said the graduated licensing program, which was introduced to reduce the road death toll among younger drivers, had been extremely effective.

“While a learner driver has a fully licensed driver or mentor in the car with them, statistics show that it’s the safest they will ever be in their driving career,” she said.
