A MELBOURNE based wool executive has raised more than $2600 for the Pooncarie Ambulance Service after shearing his first sheep in 20 years on stage at the Wentworth Show.

Jonathan Lillie from wool export company Fox and Lillie, was challenged by two of the company’s NSW clients, Bill Barnfield from Tapio Station at Buronga and Wes Herring of Gum Park Station, north west of Broken Hill.

The two farmers promised to donate $500 each to the Pooncarie Ambulance Service if Mr Lillie honoured their request at the Wentworth Show in August.
