TWO young brothers helped triple reigning premiers Mildura Settlers begin the 2017-18 season with an ominous eight-wicket victory over Mildura West on Saturday.

Paddy Keogh, 16, made 28 in an 85-run partnership with veteran Mark Cleary (82 not out), while younger brother Seamus Keogh, 14, took two wickets in his First Division debut at Aero Oval No.2.

“I’ve played with Seamus before but this is our first time playing in the ones together so that was pretty special,” Paddy said.

“(To win and both contribute) makes it a very good day.”
