Flows for Ouyen Lake Project

PROGRESS on the Ouyen Lake Project is ahead of schedule, with water expected to start flowing into the lake over the next two to three weeks.

“We are estimating that the lake will be full by the middle of next year – and in some ways, that’s when the real work will begin,” Ouyen Lake Project Committee member Deane Munro said.

“Once the lake is filled and earthworks are finished, volunteers and community members will start working on the boat ramp, jetty, toilet block, roads, footpaths, grassed areas, a watering system and a playground for the kids.”
