Rail alliance and council finally making tracks: All aboard

THE NorthWest Rail Alliance says after years of advocating for the return of Mildura’s passenger rail, local council is finally on the same page, following a sit-down meeting on the weekend.

Mayor Glenn Milne, pictured, and councillors Mark Eckel, Jason Modica and Ali Cupper met with NorthWest Rail Alliance president Christian Mitchell on Sunday to discuss the way forward following the release of council’s Mildura Future Ready Plan last month.

The plan outlines council’s $500,000 commitment to advocate for the return of the rail service,  which includes developing a feasibility study across the next 12 months.
