A LATE Tylar Atkinson goal delivered a last-gasp six-point win to Imperials in the under 16s Sunraysia Junior Football and Netball League grand final on Saturday.

With scores between the Green and Whites and Robinvale/Euston locked at 46 apiece following four Imperials goals in a row during the fourth quarter,  Atkinson brought up two flags to hand Imperials the lead and the win, 8.4 (52) to 7.4 (46).

The decisive moment was another highlight for Atkinson’s season, with the son of Imperials’ 2008 premiership best-and-fairest ruckman Darren also making his senior debut for the club this year at just 15 years of age.

He then went on to claim the Brian Weightman Medal as Sunraysia’s VLine Academy best and fairest after the Bendigo Pioneers Under 15 Regional Carnival this season.
