ANZ regional executive for north-west Victoria, Lionel Sexton has urged the region to “take a lead” in agricultural technology as he departs Mildura for a role in Geelong next month.
A country boy from Pakenham, Mr Sexton and his family have called Mildura home for the past seven years –where he has worked in ANZ Mildura’s business centre in commercial and agricultural business lending.
“(Mildura) is in a really good time for agriculture, it’s on the rise,” he said.
“I think it would be great to attract manufacturing businesses involved in the agricultural tech space, given our industries here and reliance on agriculture.”
