A FORMER Dareton citrus grower who has developed a citrus peeling and slicing machine is hoping to send his invention to China.

Entrepreneur Geoff Foxcroft, 84, now lives in Melbourne and started working on his device in 1990 because he was concerned oranges with blemishes were being thrown away or used for juicing.

“I found the flesh inside the orange was perfect to eat and I thought there must be a way of getting it off,” he said.

Mr Foxcroft also worked in the packaging industry for many years, developing products for the confectionary, crumpet and cake industies.
