Police fear for man’s welfare

MARIBYRNONG crime investigation unit detectives continue to search for Sang Quang Nguyen, pictured, who they say has been missing since 2016 and may be in Mildura.

The 36-year-old man has not been seen by family or friends since December.

The last sighting of Nguyen was on the Western Highway at Lawloit, west of Horsham on December 24, 2016 where he was intercepted driving a blue Holden sedan with Victorian registration NQH326.

It is believed he may have been heading to Mildura or Adelaide.

Investigators hold concerns for his welfare due to the length of time he has been missing and his lack of contact with family.

Inquiries made in relation to bank accounts, phone records and with associates have proved fruitless.

Police have released an image of Nguyen in the hope someone can provide information on his whereabouts.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Maribyrnong crime investigation unit on 8398 9899.
