New plan to tackle pests

THE NSW Deparment of Primary Industries is seeking input into developing a four-year invasive species plan.

It is keen to hear from all stakeholders, government agencies, industry, landholders and members of the community who are involved with pest animal and weed management.

The plan will aim to reduce the impacts of pest animals and weeds on land, sea and waterways.

NSW Department of Primary Industries invasive species strategy manager, Quentin Hart, said invasive animals and weeds impact on the environment, agriculture, infrastructure and human health.
