Member for Mallee Andrew Broad said winding down the renewable energy subsidies over the next five years was a result of the solar and wind market becoming so competitive there was no need to subsidise the industry.
Again, Mr Broad has demonstrated his eyes are firmly fixed on future leadership in the National Party than on his own constituents.
The Queensland and NSW Nats may represent mining and coal interests, but surely Mr Broad renewables are a bright glimmer of hope for Sunraysia. Voting to end incentives for renewables while backing the enormous subsidies provided in the mining sector is a slap in the face for your electorate.
