Sheep theft denied: ‘Bad fencing’ a problem, says farmer

A MALLEE farmer accused of stealing more than 160 sheep told police he didn’t know how they ended up on his property with their ear tags cut off.

Bernard David Boseley, who farms north of Cowangie on the Mallee Track, has denied stealing the sheep, some of which were found on his property in December last year.

In Mildura Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, Boseley’s counsel Peter Delorenzo indicated his client wanted to contest the charges.
