Broad urged to see PM

VICTORIA’S Energy Minister has called on Member for Mallee Andrew Broad take up his concerns about energy supply to the region with Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.

It came after Mr Broad last week said he sent letters to Lily D’Ambrosio and the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) seeking a guarantee north-west Victoria, including Mildura, Robinvale and Sea Lake, would be exempt from forced blackouts in potential load-shedding arrangements this summer.

Ms D’Ambrosio’s office late Friday said while it was yet to receive any letter from Mr Broad, the State Government and the AEMO worked collaboratively with the energy industry to reduce risks for Australian businesses and households.
