THE drought is over.
An emphatic 92-point win over Bambill on Saturday delivered Meringur its first finals berth in more than a decade.
After 11 years in the Millewa League wilderness, a period which included a year of recess in 2012, the Roos bounded from fifth into third place on the last day of the regular season.
They simply had to win to finish in the top four, but a draw between Werrimull and Cardross on Saturday meant Meringur moved above both those sides, with the Magpies scraping through on percentage.
