HARNESS racing continues to go from strength to strength in Mildura, with the Mildura Harness Racing Club (MHRC) today breaking its own record for number of races.

The MHRC’s past four meetings have alternated between 10 races and 11 races – then a record – but today the program goes one race better, putting Mildura on the map as a leading club in the sport.

MHRC secretary-manager Tim Scala said the 12-race meeting was proof harness racing in Mildura was doing well.

“I go a long way to remember when there was a 12-race meeting anywhere in Victoria or South Australia,” he said.
