‘Bogus’ training alert

A SUNRAYSIA natural therapist claims holistic therapy training providers in the region are preying on “vulnerable people” by making them fork out hundreds of dollars for bogus training courses.

Christina Sheridan said she was alerted to the issue after hearing stories about students who paid for new-age natural therapy courses that left them out of pocket and without industry-recognised qualifications. 

“New-age” therapies refer to methods used in the holistic health movement such as massage, reiki and acupuncture which have, in recent years moved into Australian mainstream society.
