Daylight Dan shines at Charlton meet

BOEILL Creek pacer Daylight Dan was rewarded for his consistent form with a victory at the Charlton trots meeting on Monday.

Daylight Dan began from the pole draw and Bendigo reinsman Glenn Douglas elected to hand up the front to Manoeuver Man and sit behind the leader.

Daylight Dan obtained an opening in the home straight and sprinted too fast for his rivals to record a 4.3m win with the last half mile run in a slick 56.6 seconds. Trainer Geoff Lucas was thrilled to have his eight-year-old back in winning form.
