Mallee farmers in South Australia, NSW and Victoria are beginning to tap into the strong global demand for pulses.
Last year, pulses were Australia’s second highest value earning crop after wheat.
Pulse Australia chairman Ron Storey told the Our Future in a Global Food System conference in Mildura this week, pulses were becoming more of a mainstream ingredient in products such as flour.
