Call to grow food market

Mallee farmers are being urged to do more to promote their produce beyond the farm gate.

About 80 farmers have attended the Our Future in a Global Food system conference in Mildura this week to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of the Mallee Sustainable Farming organisation.

One of the key messages of the event was identifying ways Mallee farmers can better market their produce.

Knowledge Transfer Services managing director Rose Wright was part of a panel discussing ways farmers could better promote their produce, especially pulses.
