We’ve waited long enough for a train

With the temporary closure of the railway line to Mildura last Monday, August 7, it may be timely to note that the Vinelander commenced its modern sleeping car, overnight service on the same date in 1972.

It may also be hoped that with the upgrade of the track, that it won’t be another 45 years until we see the resumption of passenger trains to Mildura.
