The Liberal Party is struggling to define itself, while its infighting is playing into Labor’s hands, Mildura MP Andrew Broad says.
It comes during a winter break from parliament that has seen the public tensions between Prime Minster Malcolm Turnbull and Tony Abbott continue, and Mr Turnbull’s bold claim the Liberal Party was not a conservative one.
Mr Broad, who said he was a member of the Liberal Party for one year before jumping ship to The Nationals, said infighting would lose the Coalition votes.
He said the ongoing divisions within the party were playing into Labor’s hands.
