A SIX goal to three final quarter at Underbool on Saturday propelled Ouyen United into second spot on the SFNL ladder with a 19-point win over Irymple.

Scores were tied at each of the breaks but in the end it was the reigning premiers who were able to leap frog the Swallows on the ladder.

Will Farrer and Josh Gregg kicked four goals apiece for the victors.

At Euston Robinvale/Euston stayed in the hunt for the four with a hard-fought win over a dogged Merbein.

The Eagles were tested and Merbein had their chances in the last quarter but in the end the hosts prevailed by 16 points.

Red Cliffs stormed home to beat Wentworth in an entertaining clash at George Gordon Oval by a mere three points.

Trailing by 10 points at the final change the Tigers were able to finish on top, with Antonio Brizzi  kicking five goals.

At City Oval Mildura held South Mildura to just four behinds after half time to run out 14.14 (98) to 4.6 (30) winners.

In A Grade netball Mildura upset South with a 56-52 win, Irymple 55 d Ouyen United 44, Merbein overcame Robinvale/Euston 48-44 and Wentworth defeated Red Cliffs 57-23.
