Rare find in botanic gardens

Staff at the Australian Inland Botanic Gardens in Buronga have discovered what they believe is a rare Sturt desert pea.

Sturt desert peas have been growing at the gardens for more than six years but have only ever been the traditional red with a black boss or salmon pink.

A few weeks ago co-ordinator Brian Cuddy said the person who looks after the Sturt desert peas, discovered a white and pink Sturt desert pea.
