Family escapes fire

WENTWORTH residents were forced to flee their house early yesterday morning when fire destroyed the property.

Brigades from Wentworth Fire and Rescue NSW and the Rural Fire Service responded to the blaze in Adams Street just before 6am.

“When we arrived, the house was fully engulfed and it took us half an hour to bring the blaze under control,”

Wentworth deputy captain Corey Bysouth said.
